11-2-2013 Extreme Catfishing Tanners Creek

11-2-2013 Extreme Catfishing held its last tourney of the year at Tanners Creek.

I fished this tournament with Doug Parkison. My plan was to go up into Cincinnati and fish a specific area. But when i had reached the spot 3-4 boats were already there. My 90hp motor just doesn’t beat most boats sadly.

 We tried anchoring up and drifting throughout the area. This was both of our first time in this area which in hindsight was a bad idea for a tournament.

Water temp was 60-61 and we fished deep and shallow found structure and fished it as well. We used fresh cut bluegill and live gills. Same with Chubs. Frozen Skipjack and fresh cut shad.

We battled the baby blue bite which has been prominent on the Ohio this year for me.

We ended up not catching a single fish for my only second time this year.

My buddy Chad Waugh got his PB blue at this tourney which was big fish. 44.75 lbs
