10-12-2013 Monsters On The Ohio

10-12-2013 Monsters on the Ohio is held out of Owensborro , KY . I fished this tournament for the second year in a row this time with my Partner as Scott Wiseman. We decided to use his boat as our plan was to make a pretty long trip and his boat was about 7 mph faster than mine.

We went to the captains meeting on Friday and i won a NeverSnag anchor and then sold it. I also got my 2014 ICA membership for $10. After the meeting Scott,Jason,Heath and myself went out to eat then back to hotel to get ready for morning.

We got up at 4 am and headed to the line and got launched. We got to our spot and only a few boats were there so we chose our spot and anchored up. Soon after i caught a 12 lb blue on cut bluegill. We Stayed in the general area as we seen fish being caught by one of our fellow ICA teams. But could not manage to get them on our lines.

We made it back in time to weigh in and ended up in 75th place. Which is not great but i learned some things and its better than skunking like last year.
